Q2: How much will I earn for exporting excess solar energy under Solar ATAP? For residential customers, export credits are based on TNB’s Energy Charge rates:

  • ≤1,500 kWh/month usage: ~RM0.27/kWh
  • >1,500 kWh/month usage: ~RM0.37/kWh

Important: These credits reset to zero every month—they don’t roll over or accumulate. This makes maximizing self-consumption critical. Commercial users receive the System Marginal Price (SMP), which varies monthly based on market rates.
